The Sub-Conscious Body

All consciousness operates from a sub-conscious that infinitely accumulates data from experiences through thoughts and/or actions.  This data is activated through and during these experiences.  We have heard of the sub-conscious mind so, let’s broaden our understanding by introducing the sub-conscious body.  Usually, references made to the sub-conscious mind are generally related to the area of the head or brain but, that is not completely accurate.  The sub-conscious ‘mind’ encompasses a multitude of elements:  physical and nonphysical, visible and invisible, dimensional and multidimensional, and outer spiritual and inner spiritual.  When speaking of the sub-conscious mind and the sub-conscious body as a collective in functionality, we refer to them simply as the sub-conscious.  How many of us take all of these other “elements” into consideration when thinking about the sub-conscious? Incorporating the aspect of the sub-conscious body allows us to identify another component that makes up our total sub-conscious ‘mind’.   The subconscious body collects information from experiences in cellular memory and often triggers the body to have a reaction, in specific situations, causing the ‘mind’ and ‘body’ to bridge similarities to a remembrance of a past experience.  These triggers can be anything that connects to information previously stored in the cellular memory.  A smell, a song, a remark someone made, or the way something feels to the touch can activate memory and cause physical responses.

This is often true for people that have experienced various traumas.  Once the cellular memory has been activated, or triggered, a person can relive the physiological effects of that trauma as if it were happening all over again.  For example, let’s say a child was in a fire that burned down his family home. Forty years later, his subconscious still carries that trauma with him and every now and then, different things can cause that trauma to resurface.  Now, this 40-year old man can witness the smoke and flame from a grill and become entrenched with feelings of anxiety, nervousness, and fear in the mind.  Physiologically, the body may have also reacted by coughing, sweating, increased heart-rate, etc., although there is no immediate danger.   The person is experiencing the same feelings from the earlier trauma do to the cellular memory being activated by the initial smell of smoke.  Since there is no danger, why does this happen?  As all behaviors are derived from the subconscious, the information about the fire had been recorded in the sub-conscious, both mind and body.  The information the sub-conscious records is not time stamped.  Factors that are meaningful to us such as time, age, and locations are irrelevant to the sub-conscious.  As far as the sub-conscious is concerned, the fire trauma that was experienced as a child and the flame and smoke of today are the same events happening at the same time.

The sub-conscious is a communicative organic storage of information cultivated from life experiences relating to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dynamics.  These are collected and distributed through specifically expressed individual, environmental, and societal behaviors and traits.  One may say that the sub-conscious mind is the thought and the sub-conscious body is the action. All in all, it is safe to say that both transmit and receive information that dictate our mental and physical ‘minds’ and therefore, directly affect us in our experiences.

This information can serve as a guide to help you with the sub-conscious loop of physical and emotional feelings.  The sub-conscious mind and the sub-conscious body are one in the same.  Referenced here as two elements was to broaden our understanding in identifying how the sub-conscious works as a whole.  Better awareness and understanding of the information that is being absorbed by the sub-conscious can assist you in life and on your spiritual path.  Once you are more aware of the data that is being imprinted into your sub-conscious collective, you can then implement a more stern filtering process.  When you quickly identify a potentially harmful piece of data being imprinted into your sub-conscious, you are  able to defuse it more quickly by simply changing your feelings towards that data.

How to Burn Ancestor Money on Your Altar (Joss Paper)

ancestor money

Many people in the West are becoming more aware and using ancestor money nowadays.  Dr. Mitchell Gibson ( was the first person I heard speak about the importance of burning ancestor money on your ancestral altar.  This article will help you better serve your relatives on the “other side”.

Ancestor money has different names including ghost money, spirit money, Joss paper, hell notes (mistranslation), heaven notes etc.  Most of them will have the image of the Jade Emperor.  The Jade Emperor is a Higher God in the Taoist pantheon and is considered the deity over all money on earth.

As we pointed out in the article, Altars for Ancestors: How to Setup & Give Offerings, burning ancestor money at your altar is a beneficial practice for yourself and the ancestors.  When our loved ones transition, they still need things in the afterlife.  One of these things is ancestor money to help dissolve debt in this realm and beyond!

Burning ancestor money on your altar is a very easy practice that yields phenomenal benefits. You can burn one or more bills everyday, on set days, or whenever you can.  For me, it seems to yield the best results when done all the time, so do your best to burn daily.

How to Burn Ancestor Money

What you need:

What you do:
  • Give your daily offering of food and/or other items (cigars, wine, alcohol, perfume, loved ones favorite items etc.)
  • Write the names of your ancestors on the money.  You can list by full name or put the family name ie. Jones, Myers, Smith etc.
  • Say something like “this money is for all my ancestors both known and unknown”, while you burn it
  • Burn the ancstor money AT YOUR ALTAR in the safe pot
  • Give thanks
That is all you have to do!  Once again, this practice is very simple and tremendous benefits have come into my life since including this habit in ancestor offerings on a regular basis.

9 Questions on How to Find Your Life Purpose

Everyone on earth has a purpose. Those who know their purpose have some fulfillment in life while others, that do not know, feel lost and confused.  We all know that we are here for a reason on a subconscious or unconscious level. This article will assist you with finding your purpose and then you can take the next steps in living it out!

So, what is a life purpose?  Obviously, it is the purpose of your life or what you came here to do.  This is your dharma, or order of the Universe as it relates to you.  Your gifts and talents will lead you to your purpose and the lessons and challenges you face will teach you.  The best alcohol counselor is one who was an addict themselves.  By having an alcohol problem the person can help others because they identify with them.

We have many sciences and resources to discover our life’s purpose.  Divination sciences such as astrology (Chinese, Western, Jyotish or Vedic), numerology, oracle cards, I Ching and resources like “psychics”, akashic record readings, life purpose readings and more assist people with finding out what they came here for.  These tools are great but, not necessary.  You can find out your life purpose on your own but this requires complete honesty with one’s self.

The Universe operates on the law of cause and effect.  When you ask a question you will always get an answer.  One of the keys is to ask the right questions as it pertains to YOU.  The Universe wants you to live a life of purpose and when you wake up to this reality you will notice how everything that you have is what you need and everything lines up to assist you with your mission.

Our list of questions to find out your life purpose was specifically designed to make you THINK! Make sure to be as honest as possible when you answer the questions.  There are no right, wrong, good, or bad answers.  Even “bad” can be made productive like one that hacks computers compared to one that fixes hacked computers.  Be the fixer and start living the life you came here live!

9 Questions to Discover Your Life Purpose

  1. What do you like to do even if you weren’t paid to do it?  Examples: fishing, golfing, play video games, reading, research, listen to music
  2. What are you natural talents and gifts?  Examples: writing, helping people, sports, selling/pursuasion, dancing, singing/rapping, planning
  3. What physical things make you happy?  Examples: money, houses, people, books, statues, paintings, animals
  4. What person(s) has made the biggest impact on your life?  This could be a family member, friend, celebrity, teacher, or anyone else.
  5. What qualities, gifts and personality traits do the people or person in question 4 have?  This will show you a mirror (Law of Attraction) of what is in you and give you some more gifts and talents.
  6. What was your favorite subject in school?  I always loved math.  I now use numerology alot in my work!
  7. What are you interested in?  What intrigues you?  Examples: politics, paranormal subjects, ancient mysteries, astrology, numerology, inventions
  8. What have been the biggest challenges in your life?  Most times our challenges and lessons lead us to our purpose.  Examples: alcohol, drugs, eating, abusive relationships, unhappy childhood, poverty, racism
  9. What are your favorite jobs, careers, or occupations in the world?  Examples: teacher, preacher, truck driver, server, scientist, cook, writer
Now that you have some things to work with, put it all together.  Make a story of the answers that you made.  This story will give you direction in your life because life is a movie and you just re-wrote your script!!

Are You an Old Soul? (Free Test)

how old is your soul

There are many concepts of what a soul is.  How can you tell if you’re an old soul?  For the sake of this article let’s assume that the soul is the part of you that goes beyond the physical and reality. When the physcial body dies, the soul moves on to another realm.  A spiritual or non-physical realm like heaven, afterlife, ethers, Source etc.

According to the teachings of Spiritual Master and Teacher, Dr. Mitchell Gibson (, he teaches that the soul CAN die and that the Spirit gives birth to the soul.  Dr. Gibson elucidates that the soul must take up energy practices during lifetimes to increase its life expectancy. Activities for energy work include qigong, tai chi, and sun gazing.

Saying someone is an old soul denotes that there are young souls.  Young and old are terms that suggests length of life.  A length of life further suggests that there is a birth and death.   The question then becomes, “what makes someone an old soul?”

Referencing the teachings of Dr. Gibson again, he estimates that the average life span of a soul on earth is around 50,000 years old.  I have personally been told how old my soul is and it exceeds a million years old.  This, according to Dr. Gibson, would make me an old soul.

The following quiz will assist you with determining the maturity of your soul according to my research, experience, and the teachings of a modern avatar, Dr. Mitchell Gibson.

7 Tips to Begin Meditating

Meditation is a practice of pondering or “going within”.  As our planet shifts into a higher vibration, many souls are being guided to begin a meditaton practice.  The intention of this article is to assist beginners with valuable tips to successfully start meditating.

During my own meditative practice, I have experienced everything from seeing multi-dimensional faces and beings to receiving insights and answers that greatly helped me on my path.  My experiences are not uncommon but, it did take focus and practice.  With the right mindset and discipline you will be able to have experiences that, for lack of better words, are simply magical!

7 Tips to Begin Meditating

  1. Meditation is a practice.  A practice is something that you have to do over and over and over.  Look at meditation as an experience as opposed to a destination.  People who play an instrument or sport know the importance of practice.  Remember, practice makes perfect and it starts with discipline.
  2. Be comfortable.  There is no right or wrong way to position the body during meditation.  You may choose to sit in a lotus position or lay down.  It is important to be comfortable.  The goal is to not worry about your body as this will serve as a distraction for going deep within yourself.  This includes wearing little to no clothing.  Also, keep your back as straight as possible.
  3. Focus, focus, focus!  The mind must be focused when meditating.  Do your best to focus on a concept or question.  For example, if you want answers about your life’s purpose then you want to hold that concept in your mind.  This is challenging because the ego will want to think of something else but with practice you will be able to hold on to ANY idea or thought.
  4. Take deep breaths.  Breathing is essential, not only for living but, for reaching higher states of consciousness.  The deeper and more controlled the breath, the deeper you can go into yourself.  When we are asleep, our breathing gets relaxed and slower.  Doing these breaths while awake will help you control your mind better and calm your being.
  5. Play soothing sounds.  Playing music and sounds in the background or in headphones is an optimal way to get in the zone.  Brainwave entrainment technology in the form of binaural beats and isochronic tones are ideal for meditation.  You may also play nature sounds or relaxing music.  Check out our selection of Meditation MP3s.
  6. Be easy on yourself.  Let go of any ideas that you’ve heard or read from other people.  As long as you are advancing in your practice, you are growing and becoming more adept.  You want to relax and embrace the experience.  This concept is difficult in a result-oriented society but you will get results by not focusing on it.  Focus on relaxing and simplicity at first.
  7. Have a meditation space or room.  Do your best to meditate in the same place each time.  You can meditate at an altar, room, or location that is comfortable, quiet, and preferrably dark.  A practice and location will help train the subconscious mind to associate the environment with meditation.  It’s akin to going to school (place) to learn or gym (place) to workout.

7 Reasons Why You May Not be Growing Spiritually

Many people nowadays are having spiritual awakenings and becoming more conscious. Consciousness simply means awareness and my question is always, “what are you aware of”?

Defining spirituality and what it takes to grow spiritually can be challenging concepts for most people.  This may be one of the main reasons why most people are not growing spiritually; because, we have no reference point and focus.

Spirituality is the polar compliment (polarity) of physicality.  Spirituality is the practice of connecting with the divine essence within each of us and everything in existence.  Spirituality is the act of cultivating the soul.  Spirituality is remembering that you are part of the Creator while being in a physical body.

Here’s a list of 7 reasons why you may not be growing spiritually…

  1. Being stuck in the Matrix – Falling for the illusion that everything is solid, measurable, and all you see is what there is, is being stuck in the Matrix.  This is a major spiritual block because it’s hard to see the Spirit in what you see. Science and most cultures in antiquity will both agree that everything is energy and energy is unseen to the physical eye.
  2. Blaming others for YOUR problems – Earth is a school for you to learn different aspects of yourself.  What many perceive as challenges, tests, difficulties, and setbacks are only lessons that we chose at a soul level to learn from.  The people involved are only playing their role in your movie to help you become the hero!
  3. Not believing in reincarnation – Most cultures in the world have a belief in the concept of reincarnation.  Reincarnation was also an early belief in Christianity before the councils started establishing dogma and canonized doctrine.  To know that you’ve had many lives explains why you have natural gifts and talents and why you are the way you are.  To get off the wheel of reincarnation one must dissolve their karma.
  4. No understanding of karma – For every action there’s an opposite and equal reaction.  You reap what you sow.  Do unto others as you would have them do to you.  All three statements are common expressions of karma.  Karma means balance.  You get what you put out.  Put out or think “good” then you receive “good”.  This is a simple concept but somewhat difficult to do when stuck in the Matrix or illusion.
  5. Have Not discovered a life purpose – On a general level we are all playing out our script on earth.  But, many people live a very unfulfilled life.  This is mainly because there’s no sense of purpose.  When you consciously know what you are here to do and contribute to humanity, you automatically grow spiritually.  Metaphysical sciences like astrology and numerology can help one determine their life’s purpose.  Check out our Workshops & Life Purpose Readings
  6. Too many distractions – Facebook, television, Twitter, work, gossip, celebrities, politics, conspiracy theories and the likes are all distractions if it’s not helping you grow.  Everything listed can be used for spiritual growth but many get caught up in the hype and external focuses.  You can not exponentially grow spiritually by constantly looking outside of self.
  7. Not seeking guidance – Many of us in no way, shape or form are capable of growing without some form of teaching or study.  A teacher or line of study is important to establish a foundation for our spiritual work.  Without this foundation many people are not grounded and spend a lot of time accomplishing very little.  It shows a willingness to grow when we humble ourselves and follow the examples of those who are already where we are trying to go.

7 Habits of Spiritually Mature People

In every story of success and triumph you will find a person who made proper choices to ensure achievement. Successful people make enlightened choices. Successful people have something in common…Healthy habits.

On your spiritual journey to evolve, and raise your vibration, you too can learn from any successful person.  Every person serves as a teacher.  With so many people in the earth school you have many teachers.  This article will serve as a guide to show what spiritually mature people do to maintain a high level of conscious awareness.

7 Habits of Spiritually Mature People

  1. Regular meditation – Spiritually mature people know that it’s important to quiet the mind and go into the darkness of self in order to gain light.  They see meditation as a way out and as a way in.  A means to move out of the ego-filled field of physical reality and into the infinite possibilities of the mind.
  2. Mindful eating habits – Overstanding that you are what you eat, spiritually mature people are mindful of what they put into their temple (body).  They know that what they consume should have some life force to it so they tend to be attracted to fruits, vegetables, superfoods, herbs and supplements.
  3. Positive thinking – Thoughts are things and spiritually mature people know this to be true.  When your vibration is high you automatically keep healthier thoughts.
  4. Unconditional love – The Biblical Jesus was an example of love without condition.  Spiritually mature people live this principle as they see it as being god-like and christ-like.  They also know that God is love and we must emulate this idea to become one with the Creator.
  5. Living with a sense of purpose – Spiritually mature folks know that everyone has a purpose or purposes.  They recognize that they have a voice and express their ideas by any means necessary.  It is not uncommon to find spiritually mature people teaching or helping people in a myriad of ways.
  6. Charity and giving – Giving from the heart is a high expression of love and spiritual maturity.  When you give without expecting anything in return it shows a high character person.  Spiritually mature people are known for giving away resources and information to anyone they can help.
  7. Constant study of self – Spiritually mature people know that they must know self in order to master self.  People constantly evolve so we are always changing.  Within this change we must evaluate ourselves. Spiritually mature people know this and live it.

Finding a Spiritual Path

Life is full of choices and decisions.  One of the purposes of life is to make choices that lead to spiritual growth and enlightenment.  This article will provide tips for finding paths on your spiritual journey.

When we look at the spiritual information and practices that are available to us nowadays most of us become overwhelmed by all the choices we have.  Do you want to study numerology or astrology?  What about following a discipline like Buddhism or Taoism?  Maybe you want to read about ancient Kemet (Egypt), Atlantis, or Sumeria.  Are you interested in the occult practices of magic, divination, or altar work?

In my Father’s house are many mansions… – John 14:2

There are many paths to connect with Source and your Higher Self.  Do not get caught up in your egoic mind and learn to operate from your Spirit Mind.  There really are no wrong choices, per se but, there are choices that lead to more rapid spiritual growth.  The more you increase your intuition and vibration, the better equipped you are to make higher evolved decisions.

Some paths lead to other paths and paths can lead to even more choices.  I recommend that you never become married to anything that limits you. Some paths are meant to be temporary.  Growth and evolution is the judge.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, the following tips will greatly assist you.  Remember, do not over think.  Go with the flow and follow that still, quiet voice (Spirit Mind) and not the loud one (Ego)!

7 Tips for finding a spiritual path

  • Following synchronicities – A synchronicity is a meaningful coincidence.  There is no such thing as a coincidence.  If something catches your attention two or more different times then it’s probably showing you something.
  • Pay attention to Signs – Signs are anything that “sticks out”.  Something that catches your attention and there is no rational reason why it happened is a sure fire sign.  Spiritual signs are like maps because they give us direction.
  • Interest/Talents/Gifts – What are you interested in?  What are you drawn to?  What comes natural and feels good to your soul?  What can you do without getting paid for it?  The answer(s) to these questions are interests that you should explore deeper.
  • Gut feeling – Anything that you come across and you get an out-the-blue thought like “ooh that is something I see myself doing” or “that’s very interesting” or just a feeling of natural attraction then follow that particular path and see where it may lead.
  • Numerology & Astrology – There is much information in our birth dates.  As a professional numerologist and astrologist I see the power in the day you were born as it influences gifts and lessons.  Study your life path in numerology and get an astrological birth chart.
  • Oracle cards – Oracle cards in the form of Life Purpose cards can provide insight into paths to take.  You can cast a spread yourself or get a reading from someone you trust.
  • Study your dreams – Dreams reveal to us significant information to help us on earth.  Dream recalling and decoding can lead to exponential soul growth.  Keep a dream journal and listen to and follow through with what your soul is saying to you.

99 Ways to Raise Your Vibration

In order to ascend, evolve and become enlightened, one must raise their vibration.  Luckily for us, there are literally 1000’s of things you can do to raise your vibration.  This article will provide you with 99 ways to raise your vibration that will in turn improve your quality of life and spiritual experience.

In the Kybalion, which names and describes the 7 Universal Laws, according to Thoth/Djehuty/Hermes, the Law of Vibration is after the Law of Mentalism and Correspondence.  Everything is mental/conscious and what you think causes a correspondence in your external world.  This correspondence creates a vibration and resonance between yourself and that particular thing.  Literally, thoughts are things — this is the Law of Attraction.

The more quality thoughts, deeds, and actions that you have and do, the higher you vibrate.  The higher you vibrate, the more you will resonate and attract into your life that which will benefit you greatly.  This benefit can be physical like good health, mental like peace of mind, and/or spiritual like enlightenment.

Everything in the universe vibrates including humans.  One goal is to increase our vibration.  Raising your vibration increases your frequency and this frequency resonates with corresponding people, places, things, and thoughts.  Consciously practicing items on this list of 99 Ways to Raise Your Vibration will improve your quality of life internally (mental/spiritual) and externally (physical/environment).

How to use this list of ways to raise your vibration

Be sure to Google items that you are not familiar with.  You will be able to find videos, other articles, and books/ebooks on pretty much everything that is listed.  Some items are linked to articles that you can find here on

Divination 101: What is Divination & Types of Divination

What is Divination?

Divination simply means “to foresee; or predict”.  Throughout the annals of history there have been many shamans, prophets, seers, priests and the likes that have used some form of divination to connect the Spirit World to humanity for guidance and inspiration.

The word divination is from the word divinare which means to “be inspired by a god”.  The gods and higher beings have instructed humans on how to connect with the Divine for eons.  This is why every culture and civilization has at least one form of divination.

You can attribute signs, synchronicites, sequence of events, or omens to various incorporeal beings or you can say it’s a product of your subconscious mind or the collective unconscious; regardless of the source, divination is very practical for assisting one with decision-making and preparation.

Truly, all we need is a heightened level of intuition to make our soul-journ easier and more fulfilling.  Any system or tool is only an extension of that which we have within our true Self.  Our true Self is a divine being that is light years ahead of our human brain and intellect.  Divination will help you increase your own psychic awareness and intuition.

This article is intended to introduce metaphysics students to divination and outline some common forms of predictive sciences that anyone can use.  Though there are many forms of divination, we are concentrating on those that can be used for spiritual self development.

Types & Methods of Divination

Altars – Altars are a gateway or portal from our earthly dimension to the spirit and divine worlds.  You can have an ancestral altar or altars dedicated to specific deities, angels, ascended masters and other higher beings.  Altars allows us a chance to speak to Spirit directly.

Astrology – Many people know their sun sign (eg. Leo, Taurus, Capricorn etc.).  But, Astrology is more in depth than what the newspaper horoscope may portray.  There are also different types of astrology including Chinese, Indian, Western, Sri Lankan, and more.  Astrology helps us to know ourselves better and sense the energies of future events.

Automatic writing – Automatic writing is exactly what the name entails.  Everyone has experienced times when they were writing and it seems as if you are not consciously doing it.  Rather you contribute this to Spirit coming through or your subconscious mind at work, automatic writing is an effective way to channel higher information.

Dream interpretation – The dreamstate is a medium between our world and other dimensional realities.  We are constantly downloaded information while we are asleep.  Write down whatever impressions you receive upon waking up.  Practice dream recall and decoding the symbolic language of dreams.

Gematria – Gematria is a Jewish system assigning numeric values to words and phrases.  Names, places, and things can be broken down to a number.  This number will give you the energy of the corresponding word or phrase.  By knowing the energy of words and phrases, you can see how it truly is and/or how it will affect you.

Hypnotism – Hypnosis is a practice of quieting the conscious mind so the subconscious mind can speak.  There have been many reports of people seeing their past lives, future lives, and solutions to problems during a hypnotherapy session.  Hypnosis is very effective for shedding light on lifelong issues that usually have an influence from previous incarnations.

I Ching – I Ching, also known as the Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese form of divination.

Ifa – Ifa is a divination system found in Nigeria’s Yoruba tradition.

Literomancy – Literomancy is a form of fortune-telling based on written works of art.  One can decode any written material to conclude a message from the text.

Numerology – There are 2 main forms of numerology, the Chaldean and Pythagorean systems.  Numerology is the science of breaking down words to usually a single digit.  Each single digit number has an archetypal energy that can be associated with the word being used.  Also, Numerology reduces a compound digit number to a single digit.  The exception is repeating digit numbers like 11, 55, 99.

Oracle cards – Oracle cards are a way of gathering archetypal energies for any question one may have.  There are different types of oracle cards from angelic messages to life purpose.  All center around providing clarity for an array of situations.

Palmistry –  Palmistry, or hand reading, is a way to read the book of your soul.  There is much information in every area of the hand incuding the shape, lines and marks, finger length and so on.  An experienced palm reader can tell you about past, present, and even future events of your life. Additionally, this includes dermatoglyphics or fingerprint reading.

Scrying – Commonly associated with crystal balls, scrying can use a bowl of water, a lake, a picture or anything else that one can stare at.  The act of staring at an object, especially one with spiritual ties, allows one to have visions and insight into pretty much anything.  The visions one has while scrying have been attributed to gods, demons, spirits, subconscious mind and hosts of other entities depending upon culture and spiritual beliefs.

Tarot cards – The tarot is similar to oracle cards except the tarot has a set form of symbols.  The deck is divided into two parts: major and minor arcana.  The major arcana are a powerfully specific archetypal energy while the minor arcana are an emotionally specific sub-energy of the major. The tarot is more of a character-type archetype that has a character and situation for every part in the movie of your life.
