How to Balance Chakras With Crystals

Chakras are major energy centers within the body.  We are energy at the core of our being and chakras are the major hubs of this energy. Chakras hold thoughts and emotions so depending on your state of mind, your chakras can become imbalanced in different areas of life.  Using crystals is an easy and affordable way of helping you to balance your chakras.

The easiest way to tell if you are out of balance in a particular chakra is to honestly evaluate your life. Do you have healthy or toxic relationships?  Are you holding on to people from the past? Any unhealthy vices or desires?  Do you have issues of love or hate?  When confronted, do you speak your mind or bite your tongue?  Are you independent or, dependent on other people? These are just a few examples.  Let’s look at each chakra and give major keywords of what each entail.

Chakra Keywords & Colors

Root Chakra – protection, security, home, grounding; red, black

Sacral Chakra – relationships, desire, creativity, sex; orange

Solar Plexus Chakra – ego, willpower, self esteem, personal power; yellow

Heart Chakra – love, forgiveness, gratitude, compassion; green, pink

Throat Chakra – self expression, communication, choices; blue

Third Eye/Brow Chakra – intuition, discerning truth from illusion, psychic powers; indigo, dark blue

Crown Chakra – Source, connection to ALL, higher self; violet, purple, white

The above keywords for each chakra basically covers every area of life.  Now that you know what each chakra entails, you need to know what crystals go with each one.  The easiest way to select crystals for each chakra is to get a crystal or stone that is the same color as the chakra. Red stones will work well with the root chakra.  Orange stones go with the sacral chakra.  Yellow stones vibrate with the solar plexus.  And so on, up to the crown.

Every crystal corresponds to a chakra.  Some crystals work well with multiple chakras.  I recommend having a good crystal encyclopedia.  The one I love to use is Judy Hall’s “Encyclopedia of Crystals”.

Be sure to clean each crystal or stone by letting them sit in sea salt for a few hours.  You can also charge them by placing in sunlight for an hour or so.

How to Balance Chakras With Crystals

  • Select 7 crystals – one for each chakra (see above for ideas)

  • Lay down on your back in a comfortable position.  You can place pillow under your head and/or feet to ensure that your back is flat.
  • Place your 7 crystals on each major chakra.  The root chakra crystal will be directly below your feet. The crown chakra crystal is placed right above your head.  Each other crystal can be placed directly on the body (5 chakras).  See picture for placement example
  • Breathe into each chakra for 3-5 minutes.  Focus your mind on each chakra while taking deep breaths. Begin at the root (located in between your anus and genitalia) and work your way up to the crown.  You will spend 3-5 minutes breathing deeply and focusing on one chakra at a time. This process will last for 21-35 minutes depending on how long you are at each point.

Balancing chakras with crystals, focused breath, and thought is a powerful and simple technique that anyone can do.  You may experience tingles or sensations in a few areas.  Pay attention to how you feel.  You may do this practice every day or as regularly as you see fit.

7 Tips to Begin Meditating

Meditation is a practice of pondering or “going within”.  As our planet shifts into a higher vibration, many souls are being guided to begin a meditaton practice.  The intention of this article is to assist beginners with valuable tips to successfully start meditating.

During my own meditative practice, I have experienced everything from seeing multi-dimensional faces and beings to receiving insights and answers that greatly helped me on my path.  My experiences are not uncommon but, it did take focus and practice.  With the right mindset and discipline you will be able to have experiences that, for lack of better words, are simply magical!

7 Tips to Begin Meditating

  1. Meditation is a practice.  A practice is something that you have to do over and over and over.  Look at meditation as an experience as opposed to a destination.  People who play an instrument or sport know the importance of practice.  Remember, practice makes perfect and it starts with discipline.
  2. Be comfortable.  There is no right or wrong way to position the body during meditation.  You may choose to sit in a lotus position or lay down.  It is important to be comfortable.  The goal is to not worry about your body as this will serve as a distraction for going deep within yourself.  This includes wearing little to no clothing.  Also, keep your back as straight as possible.
  3. Focus, focus, focus!  The mind must be focused when meditating.  Do your best to focus on a concept or question.  For example, if you want answers about your life’s purpose then you want to hold that concept in your mind.  This is challenging because the ego will want to think of something else but with practice you will be able to hold on to ANY idea or thought.
  4. Take deep breaths.  Breathing is essential, not only for living but, for reaching higher states of consciousness.  The deeper and more controlled the breath, the deeper you can go into yourself.  When we are asleep, our breathing gets relaxed and slower.  Doing these breaths while awake will help you control your mind better and calm your being.
  5. Play soothing sounds.  Playing music and sounds in the background or in headphones is an optimal way to get in the zone.  Brainwave entrainment technology in the form of binaural beats and isochronic tones are ideal for meditation.  You may also play nature sounds or relaxing music.  Check out our selection of Meditation MP3s.
  6. Be easy on yourself.  Let go of any ideas that you’ve heard or read from other people.  As long as you are advancing in your practice, you are growing and becoming more adept.  You want to relax and embrace the experience.  This concept is difficult in a result-oriented society but you will get results by not focusing on it.  Focus on relaxing and simplicity at first.
  7. Have a meditation space or room.  Do your best to meditate in the same place each time.  You can meditate at an altar, room, or location that is comfortable, quiet, and preferrably dark.  A practice and location will help train the subconscious mind to associate the environment with meditation.  It’s akin to going to school (place) to learn or gym (place) to workout.

Using Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones for Third Eye Activation

With the splurge of so-called advancements during the “technology age” we now have products that can do a plethora of things with the mind.  Brainwave entrainment or brainwave synchronization is any practice that causes brainwave frequencies to fall under a certain state (beta, alpha, theta, delta).  What once took many days, months, or years of practicing meditation or deep relaxation, can now be expedited with the advent of this amazing technology.

How do you use binaural beats, monaural beats, and isochronic tones to help open your third eye?

Simple!  The more you “go within” and slow down your active, rational mind, the more you give light to your third eye (pineal gland).  Your third eye is activated when your mind is still and focused on something of a higher spiritual plane.  There are many roads to this destination but it’s vital to tune out mundane and secular stimuli in order to achieve success!

Our pineal gland is most active when we are out of our body, commonly known as dreaming.  This is when you are projecting what is within your subconscious and superconscious mind, or higher self (Spirit Mind).  When we consciously simulate sleep brainwaves we actively participate in a waking dream of infinite possibilities and realities!

This is what brainwave entrainment does:  it gets you closer to accessing your “Christ Mind” or divine consciousness.  Whether you are drawn to binaurals, monaurals, or isochronic tones you will be able to activate your third eye and begin to strengthen its power to your highest capability.

Though you are only required to wear headphones or earbuds with binaural beats due to its dual frequency creating a variance picked up by the brain, I recommend using headphones for monaural beats and isochronic tones.

Third Eye Activation technique for binaural/monaural beats and isochronic tones

  1. Simply get in a relaxed position with your tone playing directly into your ear with headphones or earbuds.  You may listen to monaural beats and isochronic tones without headphones
  2. Now focus your breathing into and out of your 3rd eye chakra which is located in the middle of your forehead about 1/2 inch above your brow.  When you inhale feel the air going into your 3rd eye chakra, make it pulsate.  During exhales release the pressure.  You may feel tingles and temperature changes in this area.
  3. Repeat step 2 for 15-60 minutes.

You may do this technique anytime but, I suggest doing it before you get out of bed in the morning or prior to going to sleep for the night.  I also recommend that you do this in a dark place.  This technique can be a daily, weekly, or monthly practice.  The more times you do it, the more light your third eye will gain.

After regular practice of brainwave entrainment meditation you will begin to increase intuition, creativity, spirit communication, dream recall, relaxation, serenity, abundance, happiness, “psychic” abilities and much more!

Brainwave Entrainment Technology

The brain, which is the physical organ that processes our thoughts and mind, is a powerful electrochemical machine.  Many philosophized that it is the true or first computer!  A fully functional brain can generate about 10 watts of electrical power!  This is why we can measure its activity with machines such as the EEG (electroencephalography).  And this all begins with a thought.

The brain operates on four main frequencies or waves;  beta, alpha, theta, and delta.  Each frequency causes a response on your mindset and thus your physical being as well.

  • Beta (13-30 hertz) – Alert state, active, mentally engaged and concentrating – Low amplitude waves – This state is associated with your everyday waking life.
  •  Alpha (8-13 hertz) – Relaxed state, closed eyes, non-arousal, reflecting – Slower brainwave than Beta, higher in amplitude – This state is associated with open eyed daydreaming.
  • Theta (4-8 hertz) – Subconscious, drowsiness, early sleep, very quiet mind and body – Very low frequency and higher amplitude than Alpha – This state is associated with deep relaxation.
  • Delta (up to 4 hertz) – Unconsciousness, dreamless state – Highest in amplitude, slowest frequency – This state is associated with deep sleep.

Sound can “manipulate” your brainwaves.  This is why soft music, like classical, can have a calming effect to your mind and body(alpha state).  With that in mind, this is exactly what brainwave entrainment tones do, they induce brainwave patterns to reach a particular state. So, what is brainwave entrainment?  Brainwave entrainment is any methodology or practice that causes brainwave patterns to slow down resulting in an altered state of consciousness.

Stopping Mind Chatter When Meditating

Question: How do you stop the so called “meditation chatter”?

Answer: You don’t – what you want to do is practice mental alchemy; or switching your thoughts to another vibration making it Spirit Mind Chatter!

Meditation chatter happens because most people are operating from their physical mind as opposed to their Spirit Mind.  Your physical mind is focused on….well, everything physical or pertaining to the mundane physical reality we are currently in.  This is derived mostly from your left brain or rational mind as it reigns over the physical thoughts.

If you are meditating and experiencing any of the following “symptoms” you are not tapping into your Spirit Mind and are succumbing to the traps of the ego by way of mental chatter.

Examples of mental or meditation chatter:

  • “I wonder if I’m going to have enough money to pay the mortgage.”
  • “What am I going to wear to work tomorrow?”
  • “I’m not meditating properly so this isn’t going to work.”
  • “I forgot what time my favorite show comes on.”
  • “I wonder what my children are doing.”
  • “Did I let the dog out?”
  • “I’m supposed to call my mom.”

One of the beautiful things about meditation is there is no one, single way to achieve a meditative state.  Meditation simply means to go within.  This can be done in a number of different ways.  So let’s use your mind chatter in a more positive and higher purposeful manner during your meditation.

I suggest focusing your mind and intentions on something for your highest good.  Here are some examples of Spirit Mind or higher self focuses:

  • your life purpose
  • how you can be of service to humanity; or business idea
  • charitable works; selfless service
  • connecting with your angels, guides, and ancestors
  • communicating with your Creator
  • practicing forgiveness
  • gaining more intuition

How to Spirit Mind Chatter

You can do whatever it is you do to get into a meditative state.  If you’re not familiar with meditation, simply do the following:

  1. Go to a quiet environment and place your body into a relaxed state, whatever is comfortable.  Breathe deeply, inhaling through your nostrils while expanding your abdomen and, breathe out pulling the air from your abdomen.  Repeat this 7 to 11 times or until your body is completely relaxed.
  2. You want to use the chatter you normally experience for your highest good so after your body is relaxed focus your mind on one of the previous examples or another one of your own ideas or intentions. 
  3. Ask your Creator, angels, spirit guides, ancestors and/or god(s) to assist you with positive acts towards your focused intention. 
  4. Mentally brainstorm and visualize positive scenarios and thoughts surrounding your focus.  Remember to only hold POSITIVE thoughts.

After you start brainstorming, visualizing, or using your mental chatter for your highest purpose you will begin to have thoughts that lead you to a resolution or greater insight (aha moments!).  You may even begin to question if they are even your thoughts.  This is a sign that you connected to one of the energies (Creator, angels, guides, ancestors, gods) that you called upon!  This IS Spirit Mind Chatter!
